Since the 1960s, Dewey Street in Redwood City has been known as Candy Cane Lane for the month of December. The street has evolved from primarily wooden cutouts to a mixture of lights, lighted figures, wooden cutouts, and all other manner of decorations. Different yards have different themes (Peanuts, Rudolph, etc.) but the unifying themes are homemade stovepipe candy canes in each yard, and banners over each garage with holiday greetings in different languages.
Annual events include a holiday dance performance by Redwood City’s own Studio S Broadway Dancers, and live performances by the Fully Saxxinated Saxophone Quartet and the Redwood City Saxophone Orchestra. Check back here for dates!
