Description:

Alameda's "Christmas Tree Lane". The 3200 block of Thompson (53 houses) has been lighting up for Christmas since the 1930s so it's a great local spot for some holiday cheer. We always get full neighborhood participation. Starting date is approx - some houses start on different dates. Full participation by December 10th.

Several examples:

3256 - Its called “Nightmare before Christmas House” and there is a musical light shows every 15 minutes. there are regular music and light shows nightly.

3219 - Hand made reindeer and sleigh by the owners strange and different thinking ideas. Faith Fancher was at that house with one of her last x-mas news reports. Bless her she's looking down on us now.

3246 - Large Santa and Mrs. Claus cut-outs and lots of other characters and a blown up tree.

This listing is part of what we have designated as a "Walking Neighborhood". There are a number of well decorated homes in the immediate vicinity. You can park your car and walk the neighborhood, taking in the sights and sounds up close and personal.
